As the hiring frenzy of recent years slows in some industries, employers are becoming more selective about their new hires. Newly released LinkedIn data reveals that one of the biggest challenges facing recruiters in 2024 is enhancing the quality of their hires.
In fact, "quality of hire" is the top concern for 54% of talent acquisition experts, who believe it will shape recruitment over the next five years. This is followed by employer branding (49%), candidate experience (47%), flexible work arrangements (44%), and upskilling/reskilling employees (40%). Consequently, traditional metrics like time-to-fill and acceptance rates are becoming less relevant as hiring managers prioritize candidates who can make a significant impact on the organization.
